QUESTION: How do I measure for an inside or outside mount?
ANSWER:

While we recommend you arrange for a professional to measure your windows, if you'd like to do it yourself, below are some general guidelines:

INSIDE MOUNT:

Measure the width inside the window opening at the top, middle and bottom.

Record the actual dimension of the shortest width to the nearest one eighth of an inch.

  1. Measure the height inside the window opening at left, right and center. Record the actual dimension of the shortest height to the nearest one eighth of an inch.
  2. The ordered width and height should be the actual dimension of the minimum width and height to the nearest eighth of an inch. We will adjust the actual width by 1/8" on each side to allow the shutters to fit properly.  Important: Do NOT subtract from the actual window width. If you do, your shutters will be narrower than they should be for an optimal fit in the window frame.

OUTSIDE MOUNT:

  1. Measure the desired width and height. To minimize light leakage, window shutters should overlap the window opening at least 2" on each side and at the bottom.  Shutters ordered on an outside mount must be ordered with the Large L-Frame Trim option.
QUESTION: Why does Radiant Blinds Inc take a standard deduction on blinds ordered for an inside mount?
ANSWER: Standard deductions are taken on an inside mount to allow for the product to operate properly without binding caused by too tight a fit.
QUESTION: How should my Radiant Blinds products be installed?
ANSWER:

Radiant Shutters install just like standard window shutter systems.

Radiant Blinds products also use electricity to drive the light engines.  In order to operate,

they must be connected to a power source.  This is why we offer two installation options:

Professional Hardwire Installation:

An electrician hardwires your blinds directly into the existing electrical circuitry.

* Your local electrician will charge you (typically between $100 and $200) for the installation.

Wall Plug Installation:

Select this option if you would rather use a wall outlet to power your blinds.

Radiant Blinds products come with a slim cord and wall plug, which can easily be plugged in

behind the shutter door, or in any other nearby outlet.

QUESTION: What are the voltage ratings for my Radiant Blinds products?
ANSWER:

Radiant Blinds products accept and automatically detect input voltages ranging from 90 Volts AC to 305 Volts AC.

QUESTION: How do I clean my Radiant Blinds products?
ANSWER:

• To reduce static cling and help repel dust, wipe the product with dryer sheets.
• Do not use abrasive cleaners or chemical solvents, as they will scratch or damage the surface.
• Moist (not wet) cloth may be used for plastic surfaces.
Ultrasonic cleaning or use of chemical solvents and scrubbing cleansers are not recommended.
   They will damage the product.
Protect Radiant Blinds products from exposure to steam or high moisture areas, rain
   or outside irrigation systems
.

QUESTION: How long is the standard warranty on my Radiant Blinds product?
ANSWER:

Radiant Blinds warrants that our products will remain free from defects in materials and workmanship for 5 years from the original purchase date.  Radiant Blinds and Radiant Hues light engines (LED) components are gauranteed to last for a minimum of 3 years or 8,000 hours, whichever comes first.

QUESTION: If I am not the original owner, how can I have my Radiant Blinds repaired?
ANSWER:

Depending on the repair, we may be able to provide you with repair parts and instructions free of charge.  If the repair is related to the electronic components, such as light engines or power supplies, there will likely be costs associated with the repair.  Contact our customer support staff by completing a customer support ticket online.
